[comp.sys.amiga] How to kill worn-out subjects

swarren@convex.com (Steve Warren) (12/19/90)

I have inserted the following lines in my ~/News/comp/sys/amiga/KILL file:

/NeXT/:j
/Next/:j

This will kill all articles with NeXT or Next in the subject line.

If you use rn or trn then you can type <CTL>K while you are reading in
comp.sys.amiga, which will allow you to edit your KILL file without exiting
to your shell. Then you can insert these lines, should you so desire.

You can use this to kill any key word or words in article subject lines.
Killing a subject means that all killed articles will be junked automatically
by your newsreader before you have to read them.

One of these entries is redundant (*you* can pick which one) as the
kill processing is case-insensitive.
