I have a weird situation with a locked hard drive and Desktop Budget. I have an Amiga A2000 with a Hardframe controller and a Conner 200 meg hard drive. In my startup-sequence I lock all partitions on the hard drive because my 5 year old son normally uses the computer and I have often "lost" some of my programs only to find them later in other drawers. Now the oddity: If I run desktop budget and update some of the files, the program writes to the drive even though the partition is locked. After I exit the program, I can verify that the partition is still locked; I can also verify that the write from desktop budget did occur. Can anyone tell me what is going on here? Desktop Budget is the only program that I have found that will write to a hard drive. Thanks for any insight. -- |******************************|*****************|********************| | Daniel A.
