Was watching "Beyond 2000", the Australian science/future show. They did a fairly long segment on Timothy Leary..yes Mr. Tune-In Drop-Out Lucy In The Sky with Diamonds Leary. Anyhow seems he's more into computer visualization these days than LSD. THroughout the program there were Amiga's all over the place. Evidently he's collaborating on several (4?) programs for the Amiga. He has DEVO working on the soundtrack for one of his games. The programs appear to be a cross between a game and an animation package..all very interactive..and all very changable by the user. >>Does anyone know the names of these software packages?<< He predicted that we would soon be seeing some type of "bio-interface" where we link the old noggin right up to the computer (wonder what would happen if an Amiga user linked into a MAC!). The graphics displayed on the Amigas during the interview were first rate..a lot of 3d animated stuff..good animated stuff. Also glimpsed dPaint..someone manipulating a digitized image and between different segments in the interview itself they had this psychadelic picture (probably in dPaint) cycling through the old color registers. Best unsolicited ad for the Amy I've seen. Oh, it appears Tim himself has an Amy-1000..a man after my own heart (I got four of 'em).
