[comp.sys.amiga] TAD Dead? No Way

perry@madnix.UUCP (Perry Kivolowitz) (01/06/91)

It has come to our attention that some confusion exists surrounding the
release of Art Department Professional (ADPro). The confusion is that some
people believe that ADPro replaces TAD (The Art Department) and that TAD
has been obsoleted.

This is not true.

TAD will continue to be sold, supported, and updated. It represents our
entry-level image processing product and at a $90 list price is oriented
towards the beginning or casual imaging user.

ADPro is our high end, professionally oriented, product geared to the
professional or power imaging user.

Both products, taken together, form a well rounded family. We have
absolutely no intention of dropping TAD in favor of ADPro and will continue
to improve TAD to keep it the most popular 24 bit-plane capable Amiga image
processing program.

There is a trade-up path from TAD to ADPro. Until January 31st, this will
be $80 (including shipping) in the United States, $85 in Canada, $90
elsewhere. To trade-up, you must send your original TAD disk with a check
drawn on a U.S. bank in U.S. dollars.

Be advised that February 1st, this amount changes to $130, $135, and $140
including postage.

Please pass this information around. Thanks
