Many thanks to those who helped with my recent posting IFF2PS source available?? I was able to run a converter on my Unix system (after making some modifications to some apparent bugs) and now that works... But now, I find myself quite unable to locate an IFF->GIF converter. I recall reading about one on the Fish disks some time ago but wasn't able to find it in the descriptions I have ... Could someone send me either the Amiga binary or Unix source/binary for something that'd do this task... Thanks in advance... Mike Morgan (morganmw@clutx.clarkson.edu)

I need a utility to convert Amiga IFF to GIF. Here's the catch: I want to be able to view the IFF file first, decide if it's what I want, and then simply pull down a menu for the conversion. Does such a beast exist in the Public Domain? How about commercial products? Does anything do this? I suggest you try ADPro from ASDG or The Art Department also from ASDG. These programs allow for the loading and saving of almost any format you can come up with. I use AdPro to do conversions automaticaly from one format to another and also to change both the color and screen resolutions at the same time. I do this with the arexx port and find that there is very little cleanup necessary for any of the images when I batch process over two hundred at a time. An excelent product for doing multi-platform/format develpoment of images.
