The interest in Imagine is enormous, according to the massive response I got to my suggestion that a mailing list be formed. I've finally gotten around the administrivia, and the mailing list now exists! It is called imagine@athena.mit.edu, and will begin in earnest on Tuesday the 8th (by the time you read this). This list will be devoted to the discussion of Imagine. We will share tips, bug workarounds, questions, wish lists, Impulse flames, Impulse praises, and grumbles on how to render glass. :-) I would assume you are interested in being added to the list- if you want to join [free of charge! :-) ] just drop ME (not the list) a line. If you want to be added to the list, Mail me, spworley@athena.mit.edu, and include the e-mail address(es) which you want subscribed. If you know Mike Halvorson's e-mail address (I know he has one on compuserve!) mail it to me as well! Mail spworley@athena.mit.edu, not the list! Also, I uploaded about 40 objects to ab20.larc.nasa.gov in incoming/amiga/ 3d/Imagine last week, for anyone who wants something to play with. PS everyone- I rendered glass! Lots of it! Now, How do you make a path for the Grow effect?? Spline paths don't work, and the manual makes cryptic reference to a "point path". Any help? We can discuss it on the list, or send me mail.
