[comp.sys.amiga] Don't use comp.sys.amiga or comp.sys.amiga.tech!

zerkle@iris.ucdavis.edu (Dan Zerkle) (01/09/91)

That's right. Forget about those two groups. They're going away in
about a month. However, there are lots of new groups to replace them!!!
The new groups are:

comp.sys.amiga.misc (replaces csa)
comp.sys.amiga.programmer (replaces csa.tech)
comp.sys.amiga.announce
comp.sys.amiga.reviews
comp.sys.amiga.introduction
comp.sys.amiga.audio
comp.sys.amiga.graphics
comp.sys.amiga.marketplace
comp.sys.amiga.multimedia
comp.sys.amiga.applications
comp.sys.amiga.emulations
comp.sys.amiga.advocacy
comp.sys.amiga.datacomm
comp.unix.amiga

Still around are .games and .hardware, and the source and binary
groups. If you respond to a message in .tech, set the followup line
to .programmer. If you respond to a thread in comp.sys.amiga, set
the followup line to whatever group is appropriate.

For more details about the new groups, please consult messages in
.introduction, as soon as Ferry gets them to you. There will also
be an announcement in .announce within a couple of days.
