[comp.sys.amiga] Undelete for HD

jal@pandora.cs.wayne.edu (Jason Leigh) (01/06/91)

Does anyone have a PD program to undelete files on a harddrive?

I know there's a program called undelete which was part of amicus12
but I can't find any site with amicus stuff anymore.

Any help would be GREATLY!!!!! appreciated...

Thanx.

FixDisk (v1.0 on Fish disk 223, V1.2 on Fish disk 403 (I use 1.0 because 1.2
guru'd on me several times)) can repair HD partitions up to 48 MB (the docs
say, I've used it on 40MB), including undeleting files. To get FixDisk 1.0
to play with HDs, it must be invoked with he "DOOM" option, e.g.,
"fixdisk doom".

The only "undelete" program that I'm aware of only worked on
floppies. For harddrives, your best bet would be DiskSalv. FixDisk may
work, but I'm not sure. (Your harddrive partition would have to be
under 48 megabytes for FixDisk to work, in any case.)

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
