I'm still looking for my next computer...In the running are the A3000UX and a 33MHz '386 clone. My requirements for selection are (in order of importance): 1. Run UNIX and X Windows 2. High Graphics Resolution (graphics performance would also be nice) because of requirement (1) 3. Price ('cause I still have to eat :-) Because in the '386 clone-world you can mix and match more-or-less anything you want to and at a low price (because of the competition), I think a 33MHz 386 clone (with proper graphics card and 16+'' monitor) would probably fulfill my requirements. However, these machines aren't exactly tailored towards graphics and UNIX as the A3000UX appears to be (in terms of ability to handle multi-tasking and graphics operations _efficiently_). The only problem I have with the current A3000UX is its "limited" resolution. Am I incorrect when saying that the A3000 cannot display 1024x768 (or some other "workstation-level" resolution) in 256 colors? Could someone e-mail me a complete list of resolutions available as well as _non_ educational prices for a "standard" A3000UX (is it available to the general public yet?) ? Thanks again for any info, Tom P.S. Oh yeah, for the NeXT enthusiasts out there: please don't tell me to consider a NeXT machine - I also want to run some decent games on this machine :-) -- +-------------------------------------+ "Stupid" questions are better than | Thomas Wolf | (201) 615-4789 | no questions at all.
