We are trying to configure the rad: device on the Amiga as df1: so we can use it for a disk optimizing program on a one drive amiga with 3 megs of memory. We have read that this could be done some time ago (about 6 months in AmigaWorld) but we couldn't find the magazine that explained that. Any ideas on how to do that? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paolo V. Well I assume ya want to use BAD on RAD: (This trick might work with other Disk Optmizers) The problem is that A Lot of "Disk" tools ect.. Don't look for RAD: The newest version of FixDisk Does!(Makes it go fast, disk copy to rad: and use fixdisk from there!) BUT BAD! does not look for rad, So use a program like FEDUP (a Binary File editor) to enter BAD! and change the string DF3: (Or df4:) to RAD:!! WHAM IT works FAST.... Now to mount 2 rads and do it from Rad1: to rad2: (How do ya mount 2 rads?) . -- yorkw@ecn.purdue.edu Willis F York ---------------------------------------------- Macintosh...
