[comp.sys.amiga] Question: ProPage/ProDraw

Hi,
  does anybody know whether or not the american version of ProPage
and/or ProDraw supporst typesetting of other languages (with
umlauts and stuff (maybe even with REAL umlauts and smaller
uppercase letters} and PAL resolution? I cannot stand software
with a german user interface . . .

Professional Page uses Compugraphic fonts, as does Pro Draw; those fonts are
from AGFA, so the answer is that yes, they do indeed support unlauts and other
diacritical marks (as do most Amiga fonts anyway, as accessed with the ALT
key combinations).

Well, I think this is only 90% right.  Yes, they use
compugraphics, but there are still some aspect wich are extremly
importend for foreign languages (hyphenation, kerning...).  These
are not supported by the US version.  Well, most american think
there are only differences with the Umlauts, that's why the
hyphenation of many handbooks made in the US are wrong (like
the german CEDPro manual) :-(

So, no way! You need a foreign version. I also prefer english
menus for a Non-US program (that's fine with CED :-)
