Does anyone have an easy way to get the Amiga to talk to the blind? I've a blind friend whom I'm trying to assist in using a mainframe-pc link and she's getting a little exasperated with the solutions she's tried using so far (generally a laptop clone with a speech synthesizer using some sort of capture software to allow the screen to be read). I'd like to use some sort of vt100 like emulator (handshake, etc) and pipe the text through _SAY_. I've only got 1/2 meg on my a1000 and can't handle any overly sophisticated (read memory hogging) solutions, but if one of you out there can point me in the direction of a good solution it might just give me cause to (finally) upgrade to a new amiga. Thanks in advance. I'd appreciate any responses get e-mailed directly to me as I've long since given up trying to stay even mildly current with this particular newsgroup. --- paulm@sci.ccny.cuny.edu --- Paul Matulonis Dept. of Biology City College of New York 138th & Convent Ave. NY, NY 10038
