> 11.Sally Oldfield. Does she have out any other albums besides "Waterbearer"? > I'm also curious - is she Mike Oldfield's sister or wife? She's Mike Oldfield's sister. Aside from WATERBEARER, I have the following album from her: STRANGE DAY IN BERLIN Bronze Records (UK) Bron 549 (1983) Nota bene: This record is very different from WATERBEARER. I've only listened to it once and I wasn't that wild about it, though I believe I could warm to it if I heard it some more. I've heard tell that she has two other albums out in England, but I haven't seen them in all my searches through Import bins. There is also a single listed in the big catalogs that can usually be found in record stores. It's supposedly in print, and I keep putting off writing to Chrysalis to see how I could go about ordering it. It has "Night of the Hunter's Moon" from WATERBEARER on one side, and an unfamiliar song, "Mirrors" on the other. > 13.Steeleye Span. I have "Rocket Cottage". What other albums did they put > out? How long ago? What label? What happened to the group? Chrysalis CHR 1199 1978 SAILS OF SILVER Takoma (Chrysalis) TAK 7097 1981 These are the American editions. They were probably released in Great Britain a little sooner. Actually, their first three albums were HARK! THE VILLAGE WAIT, PLEASE TO SEE THE KING, and TEN MAN MOP. They weren't released in America until after five later albums. If there are any others that appeared only in the UK, I don't know about them. The Span supposedly broke up round about 1977 and did all kinds of solo projects (which I wouldn't even begin to list). They got back together to do SAILS OF SILVER, though I don't know if they intended to stick together after it was done. They *are* touring now, though. In fact, they are playing in Boston on 27 April. Unfortunately, I'm going to be out of town that week (*grumble*). --- jayembee (Jerry Boyajian, DEC Maynard) UUCP: (decvax!decwrl!rhea!akov68!boyajian) ARPA: (decwrl!rhea!akov68!boyajian@Shasta)
