I've recently purchased an Orchid Turbo286e accelerator card. I am very happy with it. It speeds up my IBM PC by a factor of 5 and has excellent screen handling (no more problem with snow). My only problem is that PC VI doesn't run correctly any more. Pressing the "k" (up) key will result in strange characters on the screen. When redrawing the screen (^L) these characters disappear. I made adjustments to the TERMCAP file, but no improve- ments. Has anyone out there experienced the same problem? Has he/she a solu- tion? Is there someone who owns the same board and experienced similar prob- lems with other programs? I called Orchid (no busy phone lines), but they couldn't help me.
