I read in PC Week (good rag!) that Wordperfect 4.2, contrary to what they told me a month ago on the phone, now supporst Postscript (ie Apple LaserWriter etc...) The claim is that they announced and are shipping NOW. So the real question is, why would you want to transfer that 60 page document to Mac? Get an update from 4.1 to 4.2 for $35 and use WordPerfect all the way. tj

Great news for Postscript and WordPerfect Fans... WordPerfect has announced and is shipping WordPerfect 4.2 which has a number of new features including support for Postscript Printers! This is according to an article in PC Week (and is contrary to what they said to me on the phone when I talked to them a month or two ago).

While the documentation says that WP drives the LaserWriter, our resident Postscripter (who has tested the program) says that the driver only emulates some features of Postscript. Don't expect to get too fancy with WP unless you want to start fiddling with the Postscript program file itself. Perhaps WordPerfect Corp. will improve on this initial attempt.
