Within the past few days I posted something about the programs TREED and VTREE, which display the tree of directories and sub- directories on a drive. I supposed that TREED was a copyrighted program and VTREE was public domain. I have stirred my stumps enough to look inside the latter program, and it contains a 1985 copyright by Charles Petzold. From that I conclude it is a PC Magazine utility. Further, I said it contained a bug. I still think it's a bug, but on closer examination it may merely be a feature. I said it fails to display a directory that TREED displays. Well, that's true. The "feature" is that VTREE will not display a directory that has been marked read-only. I could understand not showing a file or directory marked as hidden, but not one marked read- only. -- ==ARPA:====================anderson@unix.macc.wisc.edu===Jess Anderson====== | UUCP: {harvard, seismo, topaz, 1210 W.
