when running ann program written and assembled with MS Macro Assembler (V4.0) on either aat&t pc6300 or pc6300+, the extended ascii character set (i.e. ascii 128 or above) are not output. rather the value of the character-128 is output. (Example ALT-205 is the pair of parallel lines used for drawing the top or bottom of a box - instead a letter M is output, whose ascii value is 128 less.) exampleothis code runs fine on a 'real' ibm maany help or pointers would be greatly appreciated. I should point out the BASIC 'type' statement of the same code DOES work correctly. (i did check to verify that ansi.sys been loaded). d been loaded.) voice:201-386-6865 email:whuts!2212msr
