Hi NetWorld, I would appreciate some pointers in getting a block-cursor to appear in the CGA emulation mode using the ATI Graphics Solution card. I have an ATI Graphics Solution card (from ATI Technologies Inc) on an IBM-PC/XT with a TTL monochrome monitor. I used to have an assembler program to change the cursor type from the default underscore (_) to a block (ie using all eight scan lines in the CGA mode) on a CGA card (using the DOS interrupt 16, service code 1 call). However, the program no longer works on the ATI card under the emulation mode (which the manual claims to run all IBM Color/Graphics programs; and it does work with CGA type graphics programs such as games). Using the same program I can get the block cursor in the Hercules mode (which this ATI card also provides) by using all 14 scan lines. I have also tried to use some PD programs (in case I goofed in my assembler code somewhere) but with no luck either (again these PD programs work fine in the Herculus mode). Has anyone run into this program before and know of a fix? Or does anyone know if this is actually a hardware limitation posed by the ATI card? I would also like to hear any comments about this card. Much thanks in advance for any info/help offered. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter Kuo Bitnet/Jnet: KUO@SASK Accelerator Laboratory uucp: !ihnp4!sask!skatter!kuo (a.k.a.
