REMEMBER: Don't eat the white stuff, never mind the yellow stuff! --------------------------------------------- Does anyone out there (besides me) use or know of anyone who uses one of the ITT 7570/7575/7580 IBM-PC boards. ? The board in question is used to allow an IBM-PC to emulate an ITT-1700 (IBM 3270'ish) Display terminal connected to an ITT-7601-16 Controller unit. It is similar to other boards made by AST and IRMA however it comes with the dubious feature of..... MINIMAL SUPPORT ! ( Ohhhhhhh... ) I've done my darndest to find someone at ITT who knows more than "Well, you plug the coax in the back and it works" but to no avail. I have gone through total heck to interface my programmes with the emulator software which seems to have been written for inefficiency and largeness of code. Please oh please is there someone else out there who has or is going through the same torture. Maybe we can share tricks and recipies ? ( c | asm ) Alternately is there anyone using either the IRMA or AST boards ? How to they stack up ? Do you get good support with them ? Can you interface user programmes with the emulator programme ? Do they hang you PC several times a day ? Any and all input is greatly appreciated. Just for the record, the product seems to be an ok, and as I understand it, inexpensive terminal emulator package but its problems will begin to surface if you're going to do any programming with it.
