I've found that when using the nansi.sys driver on my system, I get that annoying flicker which usually occurs when one is writing directly to screen memory. I have a pc with a standard CGA. This problem doesn't occur with standard ansi.sys. Does anyone have suggestions on how to use nansi.sys without getting the flicker? (Certain programs, such as Larn, really need nansi.sys as opposed to just ansi.sys). Thanks in advance, etc. -- Nathan Glasser nathan@mit-eddie.uucp (usenet) fnord nathan@xx.lcs.mit.edu (arpa) "I don't care if you hit the broad side of a barn" - Kirk

Thanks to those of you who responded to my nansi article. The two most popular answers seemed to be nansis.sys, a modified version of nansi w/o snow (available from simtel20), and fansi console. I'm using nansis, and am now having no snow problems. -- Nathan Glasser nathan@mit-eddie.uucp (usenet) fnord nathan@xx.lcs.mit.edu (arpa) "I don't care if you hit the broad side of a barn" - Kirk
