[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Does SED for MS-DOS exist?

pwu@uwmacc.UUCP (Peter Wu) (01/13/87)

If you know of a public domain sed (stream editor, like the unix
one) please let me know where to find it. Thanks.

Probably not the answer you want, but EDLIN (you remember -- that
awful editor that comes with DOS) accepts commands from stdin, and
can be used as an ersatz SED. I know it works 'cuz I actually did
something this way. (Yes, I'm perverse, I know it.)
