I am looking for a set of routines that would drive the HP LaserJet (something like the Turbo Toolbox). I would then write my own Plotting package using those routines. They can be in any high level language. Any pointers to a PD/ShareWare/Commercial package would be appreciated. Thanks Atul Kacker ....seismo!rochester!ur-tut!akk2

Graphic Software Systems, Inc. writes a graphics toolkit called the GSS*CGI Computer Graphics Interface Graphics Development Toolkit (GSS*CGI GDT, for short). It is a device-independent graphics subsystem that is consistent with the emerging ANSI CGI standard. It supports a large variety of devices including displays, printers (HP LaserJet as well), plotters, input devices (mice, tablets, etc.) and cameras. It has bindings to several languages including C, FORTRAN, Pascal, BASIC and Assembler. It is available for MS-DOS, PC-DOS and various other operating systems (including UNIX), through various mail-order houses or from GSS directly. For more information (I've only touched the tip of the iceberg, here) contact GSS at (503)641-2200 during normal business hours on the West Coast.
