[comp.sys.ibm.pc] VOTES FOR MINIX GO IN 'NEWS.GROUPS' NOT HERE !!

mjranum@gouldsd.UUCP (Marcus J Ranum) (01/14/87)

Yeah, a lot of us are in favor of comp.os.minix. Votes
for making new news groups are to be posted in 'news.groups'
or they might not be noticed. Right now, all this flood of enthusiasm
is just clogging the airwaves... grumble... grumble...

WRONG! Votes should be *mailed* to the person who suggested taking a vote.
Votes should *NEVER* be posted.

Actually, votes are supposed to be MAILED to the person who proposed
creation of the group in the first place. Kind of tough this time as
about four people threw out the proposal at the same time.

Please note that COMP.OS.MINIX now exists!!! Talk to your SA if you
didn't get the newgroup messages at your site.
