If you have a lot of extra money, get the "Options and Adapters
Technical Reference Manual" from IBM.  It isn't a good tutorial,
but has the information you need to program the display adapters.

    the last time i got an update for my O&A manual, there was some
implication that the subscription format was being discontinued.
is IBM still selling the O&A?  will i have to buy seperate updates
for new adapters, etc?
