I will be placing 15 IBM PCjr computers, 256K, and printers in a high school English class very soon. I notice I can't get certain WP keystrokes (like ALT-F8 which defines a macro) on the PCjr. I also get system notices (like directions to place the B: disk in the drive and press return) writing over the screen of text, which makes the screen unreadable. Any advice (other than forget it, it can't be done)?

That replace message on the PCjr is very hard to get rid of unless you can put all of your files on drive a: . Another solution it to add more memory and set up a ram disk, copy the files on your b: disk to the ram disk and use the assign command to cause requests to drive b: to go th the ram disk. Most of your jr's wont need 256 for most of their work so you can move the memory sidecars from the ones who dont' need it, to the ones who do, and that solves the memory problem. I used a ram disk program from a bbs and it worked well. Good Luck Disclaimer; the above opinions are my own.
