I have always found Microsoft to have very good customer support, certainly better than companies like some other companies I know of. As an example, I needed a new track ball for my mouse, called Microsoft, and they sent me a new ball in two weeks at *NO* charge. Also, Microsoft doesn't support MS-DOS at the retail level.
