CrackerJack Software makes a product which adds 'memory residency' and pop-up windows to your applications. Never have used it or seen it in action, but read about in a Byte add. I think its fairly inexpensive, too. If you want to write your own TSR's, see the latest PC Magazine for an article on a TSR pop-up Ascii Table program.
