One enters protected mode, clears the screen, and writes a short success message (or failure, if appropriate!). The other does the same, but sets up the machinery to do task switching (and in fact does two task switches). They are certainly not useful routines, but they do demonstrate most of the essentials of protected mode programming. I will send them to anybody who is interested.
