Check Byte for more info ... they are really good modems.

They may be adequate for the price, but I'd like to know how anybody can call them "really good modems". That's insulting.

This modem has proven to be highly reliable, truly Hayes compatible, and reasonable priced. It has been left on 24 hours a day. It works with very well with Hayes command set specific software, "Smart Com", "Relay", "Cross Talk", and others. In addition, I just purchased another one. How much??? $250!
