I just received a computer from Kaypro that had DOS 3.21. I noticed this because I hadn't loaded on the new SUBST command and when I tried the old one it just yelled at me. (WHY must they insist on making the DOS utilities version specific?) Anyway, has anyone else used it much and can you tell me whether it fixes any of 3.20's bugs and does it have any new ones? I don't use 3.2 much because of the bugs; I rely on my trusty PC-DOS 3.1, but I might be persuaded to change. I will of course note any differences that I note. I just had not even heard that there was a 3.21 released when I suddenly found that Kaypro was shipping them! (The store that I work for sells them, that's how I found out.) -- =====================Grant Prellwitz========================== !ihnp4!gargoyle!sphinx!pre1 UUCP 76474,2121 CIS ID1154 Plantz BBS

I've got a copy of PC-DOS here that is labeled 3.21 on the disk. When you do a VER inquiry, it reports 3.20. I believe this is the update made last october (or so), when about 15-20 of the programs on the dos diskette were fixed....er, I mean, updated. The updated versions of these programs, I believe, were to be made available free from authorized IBM dealers. No problems with it so far.......you might want to check it out if you have a true-blue system..... ---- Dan Crimmins University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Computing Services Office - Micro Consulting Dept.
