ReSent-From: postman#@andrew.cmu.edu ReSent-To: nntp-xmit#@andrew.cmu.edu Return-path: <jl42#@andrew.cmu.edu> X-Trace: MS Version 3.21 on ibm032 host stroudsburg, by jl42 (1909). To: outnews#ext.nn.comp.sys.ibm.pc@andrew.cmu.edu I wrote a sizeable program (online inventory system plus bookkeeping) using dBase III Plus (the original release of it - I don't know if there have been any newer releases) and lately a bug surfaced that is in the dBase software itself, rather than in my code - this is that with deleted records being looked at (NOT being ignored) a goto bottom causes a machine halt. Not fun at all - power down is the only fix. It happens every time my code gets to a certain point. If someone else has experienced this bug and knows of a fix I would be REALLY appreciative - as the system my client paid me lots of money for is currently sitting useless because of it! (And he tends to call me around 10 am every Sunday morning to find out if I've come up with a fix for it yet... :-) Thanks net.world! -Jay Libove -jl42@andrew.cmu.edu -jl42@cmuccvma.bitnet "Hey, I know who -you- are!
