<Bugs like these keeps systems programmers employed>

Over two years ago, the University of Georgia decided that it was time
that student computing removed itself from the era of the (gag) punched card.
This was a great day for those of us who complained about the University not
being in the 1980 (as far as computing). In their infinite wisdom, those who
make the decisions decided to dedicate a whole mainframe to this endeavor.
On this IBM 370 plug-compatible machine, the decided that the McGill University
System for Interactive Computing (MUSIC) should be the operating system.

Today, after two years of putting up with, what is generally termed
here as brain-damaged software, we are looking for a way to convince the
university this operating system is not supporting the needs of the students.
This is going to be a tough fight because of the political structure that
exists here at Georgia.

In this endeavor, we are asking for help! We need constructive comments
on MUSIC. Anybody who has ever had the honor of wrestling with this operating
system and is willing to comment, pro or con, please mail it to me. You help
will be greatly appreciated by myself, the faculty, and all the students who
join in this effort.

	Thank you in advance!!!
