I got a couple of answers to my previous posting suggesting I open the CONFIG.SYS file and parse it myself. While this might be acceptable in some cases, it often won't work. There are lots of floppy-based users out there, and you really have no idea what they might be booting off of. Also, before posting the question, I did check whether the program I have, called TELLALL, was reading the stuff out of my CONFIG.SYS. It's not, so it is definitely using some DOS function or data-structure that I am unaware of. I'm kind of surprised nobody knows how to do this... -- Glenn Connery, Bell Northern Research, Mountain View, CA {hplabs,amdahl,3comvax}!bnrmtv!connery
