[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Procomm Kermit

nez@bucc2.UUCP (04/28/87)

I been having problems getting PROCOMM to communicate with
the 3b5 using kermit. When I start the download, both systems appear
to exchange initialization parameters and then proceed to continually
resend the first packet. I've tried modifying PROCOMM's kermit para-
meters and some of the 3b5's parameters with no luck. (I made sure
both systems were set to the same file type.) Has anyone had any luck
using this protocol? Please send any responses directly to me...

This question seems to pop up every coupla months, the solution is to make
sure that the host kermit has been

SET PARITY MARK

and things seem to go much better. Not perfect, tho. Using the same host and
receiving the same file, MSKERMIT 2.29 is noticeably faster and doesn't
require and fooling around with the hosts settings.

Are you listening Datastorm????
