Does anyone know of any text+graphics screen print utility that will support different types of printers (PD, shareware or commercial) ? Printers I'm specifically interested in are EPSON FX80, HP Laserjet and the Apple Laserwriter. Thanks in advance for all replies. Venu P. Gopal ihnp4!ihuxy!vg55611

Pizzaz is a commercial screen dump program with extensive capabilities and extensive hardware support. Approximately 134 different output devices are supported. Most popular screens are supported as well: CGA, EGA (various types), Herc., AT&T 6300, Video-7, etc. Pizzaz also lets you box-in the area to be printed with the cursors, thus allowing you to scale up the size on an interesting region and cut out unimportant noise. Color --> pattern or color remapping is possible. Images can also be stuck in a file for printing later if you are in a hurry. A full color picutre 4 * 6 inches takes about 20 min. on an Okidata 292. Monochrome images are quite quick. The HP laserjet output looks quite nice (actually, I tried the HP output on an Okidata Laserline-6). Pizzaz's neatest feature is anti-aliasing to remove jaggies, if you desire. I think it goes for around 50 bucks, but look for discounts. Pizzaz is a very well behaved TSR program, and seldom (if ever) interferres with other software. It is a bit hoggish on memory, requiring about the same ammount as sidekick. Some of my bigger programs won't run with Pizzaz (stupid 640K limit!). I don't work for these guys, and am reporting this as an end user that is satisfied with the performance of the product. There are others, but Pizzaz is much more bugfree. Bill Mayhew Northeastern Ohio Universites' College of Medicine Rootstown, OH 44272 USA phone: 216-325-2511 (wtm@neoucom.UUCP ...!cbatt!neoucom!wtm)
