[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Dos 3.30 BUG

ahhills@orchid.UUCP (05/14/87)

The following command sequence is located in my autoexec.bat file
	\bin\append /x /e
	append c:\bin;
	.....
	complete booting of system

	 Format a:/v

After the drive has been fomatted "dir a:" will give you an improper
directory information. The directory it will give is contained in \bin.
Once a file is loaded on to the floppy the directory information will
be valid. If the default drive is the "a:"drive in my case it will show
the contents of the c:\bin directory with 360K free bytes on the floppy disk.
The system that this is running on is a standard IBMpc with 20meg hardisk
and a 360k floppy in drive a.
