The following command sequence is located in my autoexec.bat file \bin\append /x /e append c:\bin; ..... complete booting of system Format a:/v After the drive has been fomatted "dir a:" will give you an improper directory information. The directory it will give is contained in \bin. Once a file is loaded on to the floppy the directory information will be valid. If the default drive is the "a:"drive in my case it will show the contents of the c:\bin directory with 360K free bytes on the floppy disk. The system that this is running on is a standard IBMpc with 20meg hardisk and a 360k floppy in drive a.
