is by all means Jimi Hendrix. There are lots of others that I think are excellent but if I have to pick only one it has to be Jimi.

<no-blank> Well this discussion is winding down, and I feel that I must put in my 2 cents worth before it's through. With all the names that have been mentioned, I can't believe that my favorite has not shown up on anybody's list so far. I'm talking about Johnny Winter. This guy is one of the best when it comes to guitar playing, better than at least 80% of those already mentioned. This guy is known for playing the blues, but I have to admit, I like him best when he pulls out the stops and plays some hard hitting, good timeing rock-n-roll. For those of you who have never heard anything by him I can recomend "Second Winter", "Still Alive and Well", and "John Dawson Winter III" just for starters. This guys music always gets me going, and how many other performers do you know with gumption enough to put out a three sided album? -- Is I is, or is I aint, John V. Smith
