I have a friend who has a PC/AT clone and he has a couple of burning questions. 1) Tom has a Tseng Laboratories ULTRA PAK copy of the Hercules card and is trying to use the card to put his Microsoft mouse in graphics mode(using Turbo Pascal). It is his understanding that the "display mode address" is at 0040:0049(segment:offset) and the mode he would like to program is a "6" to get graphics mode. OK, so when he puts a 4, 5, or 6 at this address, the whole screen locks up. The questions I have is: Basically, how do you turn on the graphics cursor for the Microsoft mouse with Turbo Pascal? What is the correct address for the "display mode"? What is the correct mode value top be put at this address to get graphics mode? Next problem. How do you program the PC/AT "time-of-day" clock to keep the correct time even when the PC/AT is powered down? Tom and I would appreciate any information, please E-mail replies.
