I am doing a research project on a certain LAN here in Waterloo, but there is only one other network locally to compare with. I am looking for information on PC networks. For example Novell or PC-Network, or even "home made" ones would be helpful. Which ppl have access to what networks? If there is enough response, I will post a Turbo Pascal source for a benchmark program. (Does anyone have any benchmarks or at least important tips on what to test?) What I would need is info on Basic set-up the the lab - how many workstations? - what type of workstations (pc/xt/at)? - what type of file server? - which version of DOS you are running? - how are the workstations connected? - how does it operate? Opinions - what is the network used for? - do you like it? - any other information? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide, but please mail me instead of posting. ------ --------- ------------------------------------------ erhoogerbeet@watmath.uucp "`The Guide says there is an art to flying,' ehoogerbeets@wateuler.uucp said Ford,`or at least a knack.
