I am told that the version of CED which I had was not really 1.50. Not being familiar with the features of 1.50 I accepted it as it was given to me, checking only that (a) it worked, (b) it wasn't a trojan horse, and (c) it wasn't obviously a commercial product. For anyone who happened to be happy with what they got, it's still a viable version of CED, just not 1.50 (I've been told it's 1.0C, 1.0D, and something else). Not being a CED user I am not going to have any more to do with it. I have withdrawn it from the *IX BBS, along with microemacs and any other stuff available to non-users. Of 70 people who loaded the software, one left a thankyou message, 3 sent mail saying that it wasn't 1.50, and 5 left messages complaining that I don't support 2400 baud. I will respond privately to the two messages from people who claim I sabatoged their systems. Sorry if this wasn't what I thought it was. -- bill davidsen (wedu@ge-crd.arpa) {chinet | philabs | sesimo}!steinmetz!crdos1!davidsen "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
