A similar question was asked about ABBA about 7 years ago.  Seems they
have a following on the order of the Beatles overseas but got little
recognition here (in comparison).  They wouldn't tour the US until they
had a #1 hit in the USA.  This didn't happen until 1977, when Dancing
Queen hit #1 in April.  I think ABBA was pretty frustrated about the
American market in general, which didn't (does it now?) favor Europop.
