<*> I thought this was posted here before, but I cannot find it. Also, a detailed scan of PC utilities only finds RAM testers (in-situ) that test memory and provide a map of actual suspect chip location seems to be only for L/I/M EMS memory. *What is needed is a 0 - 640K RAM tester/mapper* I have some "phantom" RAM problems not caught by the PC POST, causing parity errors at random. The memory testers I have either do not find the problem, even after hours of testing, or are worthlessly vague about location. Can someone help me on this, I have pulled/shifted/replaced dozens of chips so far. (A major improvement has resulted, cut about 95% of errors, but a parity error on a large file edit would tempt a saint to curse.) thank you in advance! -- Terry Sterkel {clyde|harvard|cbosgd|allegra|ulysses|ihnp4}!whuts!tes [opinions are obviously only my own]
