InfoWorld of July 6th has a review of DesqView 2.0 on page 45. DV can run 255 concurrent tasks, each with its own window. You can cut and paste between windows. To cut and paste between graphics programs, you can run either MS Windows or GEM in an ordinary DV window and use their graphics cut and paste facilities. To appreciate this capacity (and the talent of the people at DV) just consider that Windows does *not* run in the OS2's "compatibility window" (both are designed by Microsoft). DV supports EGA, Hercules, MCGA, EGA (including 43-line text), and VGA. On a 386, DV will generate 60 virtual 8086's. Each virtual 8086 has its own 16-Meg of 32-bit EEMS. Each virtual 8086 has 640k of free ram. If one virtual 8086 crashes or locks up, it does not take the system down. Only itself. As usual, DV runs your current software as-is in its windows. No patches. Michel
