[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Programming the EGA

ins_bjjb@jhunix.UUCP (Jared J Brennan) (07/11/87)

Well, since someone has already responded to my last query (thank you
very much; on the other hand, it's unreadable . . . about Uniform for MS-Dos,
if anyone's interested) I thought I'd try my luck at getting more help in the
same week . . .

I'm doing some programming for the psychology department here at Hopkins,
and my next task involves using the EGA, specifically to place on the screen
letters in different fonts, perhaps in varying sizes. If I were programming
in Turbo Pascal this would not be overmuch of a problem (Yes, I'll even work
up my own fonts if necessary), but I'm programming in DeSmet C (v.2.5).
I know C-Ware sells a graphics package for this product, but it doesn't
support the EGA (the reason being the programmer doesn't have one yet).

All I need is some source of information about programming the EGA,
although, if there is a package available, I'll buy it. Anyone willing
to send me a list of books, authors, publishers, software, etc.?

   Thanks in advance . . .
