[ I saw the best lines of my generation destroyed by madness ] Hello. We're looking for recommendations for a commercial variety speech synthesizer for an AT&T PC 6300 (IBM PC clone) with more or less the following features: o Bus-based We can't afford a serial port. o Memory cheap We're tight on memory o Easy to program Interfaceable with QuickBASIC or the like o Regular output Through an RCA jack or some such Amplification is not necessary. Text to speech would be nice, but most of what we'll be saying will be canned (except for device names); e.g.: "Hi there! Thermocouple tcu01 in slot 4 seems to be on the freak. Have a nice day." If you have any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them. Thanks. -- # Daniel Rosenberg / AT&T Bell Labs / Murray Hill / New Jersey # These opinions are necessarily mine, not my employer's. # UUCP: {ihnp4 || research || allegra}!alice!d HORN: 201/582-3059 (work) # INTERNET: d%alice%btl@csnet-relay or d@alice.att.com --More--
