I have a non-autodial modem which I tried to use with procomm (2.4.2) without success. Is there something particular I should do for this to work? I tried setting the various modem initialization strings to null strings, but procomm refused to do anything. That is, I dialed the phone manually as I do when I use my normal comm. prog. (a homebrew) -- and procomm just sits there. Nothing I type is sent out, nothing the host sends is shown on the screen; the transmit light on the modem confirms that procomm is sending nothing out. This is not a Hayes compatible modem -- it is a NOTHING compatible: It has no command language whatsoever. I fiddled with procomm for about 20 min. before giving up on it for now. It may be simple, but not very obvious! So, anyone done this before? -- Andrew Burt isis!aburt Fight Denver's pollution: Don't Breathe and Drive.
