OK, folks, the 3.5" graft went fine (I can format, boot, whatever you want just fine), and now I have another question/problem: How can I modify my Qumetrack 142 floppy so that the motor obeys the PC/AT conventions (i.e DS 2 = motor on for drive 0, DS 3 = motor for drive 1)? My controller appears to be doing this ok, but the damn floppy spins every time I access either drive. I don't like the thought of dragging the head along when I'm not even using the drive (more often than not probably on the same track, too!). I don't have any dox and before I do radical surgery on the drive it'd be nice to have some clue as to what direction I should be going. Thanx in advance for this one and thanx to all who helped me out earlier. Mitch Hendrickson (tektronix!gvgpsa!brucer)
