[comp.sys.ibm.pc] IBM PC Jr Printer

km@emory.uucp (Ken Mandelberg) (08/09/87)

I have a printer that is meant to go with a PC Jr. Its
the cheap thermal printer IBM used to package with it.
I would like to use the printer on a different system.
Does anyone know the interfacing info for it?

It has a 16 pin connector meant for the PC Jr serial port.
By experimentation I have found that I can use pin 7
as ground and write to pin 4 at 1200 baud. What I don't
know is what kind of flow control it uses and what pin
is relevant.

Any info would be appreciated. Please mail it directly
to me.
