[comp.sys.ibm.pc] "curses" implementations on MSDOS/PCDOS

Several months ago, I posted I request for info on curses-compatible
packages for the PC.  Enough people expressed interest in the responses
to suggest that it is worth posting a summary; sorry for the huge delay,
but this got pushed to somewhere near the bottom of a very large stack
of tasks.

In the following list, I have summarised the information supplied from
a number of replies.  Where all or most of the info has come from a
single reply, I have cited the sender.  I cannot (yet) vouch for the
accuracy of any of the information below!

Lattice
	Cost: US$89, $178 with source code

Looking Glass Software
	Compatibility: BSD and System V compatible
	Support: available
	Cost: US$295

	Screens: not specified, but certainly mono and CGA

	Port based on Pavel Curtis' ncurses, still under development

Jeff Dean
	Compatibility: BSD, partial System V
	Support: not guaranteed, but probably available

	Cost: shareware ($20) (+ $10 outside US for shipping), one-off fee
		for permission to incorporate in commercial products.
