My impression is that DOS has a maximum baud rate of 9600 baud for the serial port. If that is the case, does it reflect a real hardware limitation on the UART? Is there a way to bypass DOS and set up the serial port for 19.2? I ask because I need to talk a serial device that can only talk at 19.2. The messages would be very short, so I don't need a sustained througput of anything like that. I am really interested in the built in serial port on a PC Jr, but a more general response would also be interesting.
